ABSTRACT The mushrooming of special economic zones (SEZs) in recent years has led to a significant increase the supply attractive incentives for investors looking opportunities abroad. Special are self-contained regimes, inextricably associated with investment promotion policies and domestic industrial policy general, that many times form part broader strategic governmental planning aims at experimenting rule-making strictly defined territorial jurisdictional boundaries. While empirical evidence is still inconclusive, can contribute development level through varying degree channels.
